Professional Experience
Franklin Briceño Salazar, Esq. Law and Political Sciences “Magna Cum Laude” by the University of Panama since 1990 has a Comparative Commercial Master of Law Degree from The Dickinson School of Law in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States of America, as a Fulbright Scholar.
Franklin Briceño practiced as associate lawyer in several recognized law firms in Panama City and since 1999 is Senior Partner of Sucre, Briceño & Co. Law Firm.
His professional experience has been fundamentally concentrated in the field of Banking and Corporate Law, with a successful incursion in the field of Labor Law and Litigation as well.
Franklin Briceño is an active member of diverse professional organizations, unions and NGO. He stands out as member of the Inter-American Bar Association, Panamanian Association of Corporate Executives (APEDE) where he is President of the Ethics, Civics and Social Responsibility Commission, member of the National Bar Association, of the Association of Fulbright Scholars, member of Amnesty International, among others.
He accounts with monographs, such as “Validation of Powers for the Opening of Bank Accounts and Granting of Credit”, “Some Considerations with regards to Article 3 of the United Nations Convention on Promissory Notes and Negotiable Documents and the Panamanian Legislation” and his thesis “Object and Risk in the Maritime Insurance”.
In the sphere of public service, Franklin Briceño has acted as member of the Conciliation and Decision Board of the Secretary of Labor as representative of the employer sector and External Legal Advisor of the Agricultural Insurance Institute.
Franklin Briceño Salazar is professor of Law within the Masters Program of Commercial Law of the Inter-American University and currently engaged to pursue a Master Degree in Tax Planning at UNESCPA. He has been speaker in multiple seminars and gatherings for related issues in the areas of his professional practice and about ethics and corporative transparency.
