Professional Experience
María Luisa Fábrega has been in private practice since 2001. From 2002 to 2007, she worked as an in-house lawyer for the Panamanian Airline named Copa Airlines, where she was responsible for reviewing and preparing domestic as well as international contracts, obtaining permits for the opening of new destinations, registering airfares, new routes and itineraries before Aeronautical Authorities, obtaining permits from Domestic and International Authorities for the operation of new airplanes, renewing the Company’s operation permits at the Domestic and International levels, participating in Bilateral Agreements between Panama and other countries, as well as collaborating with outside law firms in the incorporation of Copa Holdings, S.A. at the New York and Panama Stock Exchanges.
In 2007, she became an Associate Lawyer at Sucre, Briceño & Co., where she currently is Senior Associate, offering services in the areas of Corporate Law, Commercial Contracting, Capital Formation and Financing, as well as Banking, Real Estate, Aeronautical and Insurance Law.
María Luisa Fábrega is co-authored of a specialized monograph on the subject of Copyrights in “Getting The Deal Through”.
