Since the liberalization of the telecommunications market in Panama, Sucre, Briceño & Co. has represented different companies who have applied for permits to operate in Panama.

SUBRICO has advice a diverse of telecommunication companies interested in open operations in Panama.  Such is the case, in where we acted as attorneys of Telefonica Moviles, S.A. in the acquisition of BELLSOUTH PANAMA, S.A.

SUBRICO's was contracted by the Regulating Entity of Public Services as an external consultant to draft the Law regulating energy service. Among other things, said regulations governed the privatization of the State electricity company, established the rates to be applied, and determined existing conditions for the granting of concessions and licenses to private companies wishing to offer this service in Panama. SUBRICO's participation contributed to a great extent to the President of Panama sanctioning Executive Decree Number 22 of June 22, 1998.
